Lugano Region becomes the first destination in Switzerland to offer the Uber Mountain Bike service — an innovative bicycle transport solution created in collaboration with Uber.

Whether you’re cycling along a scenic trail, exploring the villages of Capriasca, riding through the woods of Malcantone, or tackling more challenging MTB routes, you can now count on extra support to reach even the most remote areas of the region. Vehicles equipped with bike racks will provide smooth and seamless transfers to remote destinations such as Val Colla, Capriasca, and Malcantone.

This option serves as an alternative to traditional public transport and allows travelers without a car to move around independently and efficiently.

How Uber Mountain Bike works
Uber Mountain Bike appears in the Uber app in Lugano as a dedicated service option.

To book or use the service:

1. Download the Uber app — More possibilities with the app | Download Uber

2. Select your desired route.

3. Among the available options, choose “Uber Mountain Bike.”

4. Finally, book your ride with “Uber Mountain Bike.”

Reach the starting point of your tour or return comfortably after an excursion.

Professional drivers with certified bike racks can safely transport up to 2 bicycles.
